The mission of Silver Plume Exhibitions is to join artists and scientists to bring museums and other institutions world class traveling exhibits that inspire scientific curiosity and imagination. The company was founded by Alanna Magovern and Nicholas Regester after years of working as exhibit technicians for the exhibition "Hatching the Past".
Alanna has been touring with "Hatching the Past" for the last 10 years. She has helped in the construction and design of many of the exhibit components. Alanna graduated in 2007 from the University of Colorado with a bachelors degree in physiology and one in fine art. Since then she has worked as a fossil preparator, exhibit technician, and exhibit designer. In addition to working in the museum sciences, she has also worked as a ski patroller, tall ship sailor, and fine artist. Alanna is bringing her previous experiences together as she takes on the role of exhibit designer for Silver Plume Exhibitions.
Nicholas graduated from Long Island University with a degree in Sociology and began working in wilderness programs for adjudicated youth. He started working for Ocean Classroom Foundation in 2004 and worked for them as deckhand, engineer, medical officer, and ultimately 1st mate. With Ocean Classroom Nicholas was involved in youth education of middle school to college aged students with a broad spectrum of backgrounds. In 2010 Nicholas started working for "Hatching the Past" as the exhibit production manager. He designed and built many of the new interactive components that now tour with the exhibit.
Silver Plume Exhibitions was founded in 2014 and is excited to move forward in building and touring quality exhibits for museums of all types and sizes. Nicholas and Alanna both have unique experiences in different fields that they are bringing together to create a diverse exhibition company.
